Sweet family history

Blake sent me in the amazing photos and this is what he says.

This is my uncle john "doc" smith. he owned and operated a shop in van nuys, california named "doc's chopper clinic" also was in the club called "ride on" a small club, but well associated with all the big names. he died before i got to meet him, drowned in a river while fishing (brutal). but he was an awesome guy from what i've learned, and an amazing bike builder. motor paint fabrication, he did it all himself to everything he built. took me awhile to find all this out about him (my family dosent like to participate) thats another story...haha. but im glad i did, he is my insperation in this whole thing. not sure why im telling you this, guess i though that you would appreciate it more than anyone else i could have shared it with... anyways heres some pictures enjoy. B&H foot shifter oooh weeee

I came across this beauty yesterday at a yard sale I have only every seen one before on my buddy bills panhead. A true gem of a part from the early days of choppin. In 1946 B&H came up with this sweet rig to rid of the tanks shift man it's sweet.

Well, my blue baby left me for her new home. Ian came into Phoenix from old England Thursday morning to fetch his girl. We packed up and hit the road towards L.A.. We made decent time, a quick 9 hours on the knuckle across the beautiful desert. Having to hit every gas stop along the way she is the 57 miler, any more and you are out. Friday morning we headed to the shipper and picked up Ian's 1913 harley. This thing was amazing 100 years old and still running. I was happy and sad to see my girl go. I will ride her again soon. We headed to the Garage company, a definite site to see in LA. That place is amazing. Ian hopped on the plane back to England. I chilled with Scott till the LA traffic died down, so i could head home. Scott gave me a sweet tour of Venice. It is its own little paradise. Thanks loads buddy. love you all, jeremiah

My little man already sortin parts for his chopper we got these sweet pipes at a yard sale yesterday. He says let me build it. I cant wait for the day he can ride. He hopped on it and said it's mine.

I finally finished her up it's been a long time coming, soon she will be headed to rainy old England. This one has about driven me crazy' but I am glad she is all done. She is my most favorite knucklehead yet. It is so comfy and smooth and loud as all hell with the trumpets, like a damn drag bike!!! You can hear it coming from a mile away, so goood.
